Our Commitment to Becoming a School of Sanctuary

As part of the HCCMAC, our school is proud to be actively promoting the principles of the School of Sanctuary—a national initiative that recognises schools who foster a culture of welcome, safety, and inclusion for all children and families.

We are dedicated to creating an environment where every pupil feels valued, supported, and understood, including those who may be seeking refuge or starting a new life in the UK. Through our curriculum, whole‑school activities, staff training, and community engagement, we are continually working to strengthen our ethos of compassion and belonging.

We are pleased to share that our school will be applying for the School of Sanctuary Award in Spring 2026. Over the coming months, we will continue to build on the work already underway across the HCCMAC, ensuring that our school community fully embraces the values of welcome, understanding, and kindness.

Together, we aim to build a school where every voice is heard and every child feels at home.
